Praveen S: Good to be here. Wow. I am struggling, but I think with the support of the community, I may be able to practice on a regular basis. I have listened to your sermons again, Adam, and there was something left from the past. I had joined a few of the Julia set course sessions, so I was just going through that again.

Adam Wes: Wonderful.

Praveen S: I have made my notes now. I am waiting for the next one.

Adam Wes: Yes, we will be starting that very soon, probably in a couple of weeks.

Praveen S: Yes, yes.

Adam Wes: Wonderful. Thank you. Good. How about you, Andrea? Namaste.

Andrea P: Good. I have been trying to practice mindfulness in my workouts and running. It helps, yes. I am training to go by a really big hill, like a high mountain, so I think that will help.

Adam Wes: Today will help with the mindfulness practice, because I will discuss it in context in a little bit. But wonderful, I am glad you are doing that. That is the theme of the month. How is your reading going?

Andrea P: I have not been reading as much as I wanted to. Well, I have been reading a lot, because I am involved in too many things. But yes, I have not been reading what I am supposed to.

Adam Wes: That is alright. Krishnamurti will be ready for you when you are.

Andrea P: Yes. Hopefully, I will catch up.

Adam Wes: So... How about you, Harrison?

Harrison: Very well, thank you, Adam. I suppose I have not... I have been quite busy, but I have been meditating every day. I have not missed a day, and I intend not to for the rest of my life.

It is completely part of my routine now, and I put it on the same level as eating—if not more important, honestly. It has fully changed my life. I do not even know where to start, honestly, so thank you, sincerely, from the deepest depths of my heart.

I know it is going to help me change other people's lives too, so thank you. I appreciate it.

Adam Wes: You are welcome. Your willingness to embrace that, and all the work you have done throughout your life to be able to be consistent, to drop in in such a way that it feels rejuvenating and healing and wonderful and ecstatic—all the things that make you come back to it over and over again.

Wonderful. And yes, your work as an artist—you are sharing from that silent reservoir of self within. When you meditate, you generate a richness, an inner sufficiency, an inner... you have something to say. A great artist is someone who has the technical ability, and they have something to say with that technical ability. Meditation helps us to deepen in that way. So, thank you. What a beautiful thing to hear today.

These are wonderful things I could hear from anyone. And how about you, Colleen? Mom?

Colleen: When you have wonderful students... and I have to say, I did not do my homework.

Adam Wes: You are a wonderful student. She is always on time.

Colleen: I will try and do better.

Adam Wes: Contemplating everything. That is the thing—one of the things that happens with us is, when we are ready, we are able to build our life in that way. So I am just pointing out, when you are ready, you can go in that direction.

Colleen: I am looking forward to, I believe, somewhere in April, when I can start that process with the 15 minutes a day.

Adam Wes: The next minute.

Colleen: Yes.

Adam Wes: Wonderful. Yes, that will be amazing. I need to start announcing that soon. We will probably... March 1st, I will start.

So, yes, there are all these things that we can do to develop ourselves. We can start eating healthier, we can start exercising, we can start meditating, we can start doing mathematics every day, we can start reading every day. We can start journaling, and it goes on and on.

The goal is to integrate these things naturally, so they become like eating, as Harrison says. It is just a part of your life. And when we build that, it is hard to stop doing it.

You gain a sort of momentum in that direction.

Alright, let us see. I might change the sermon now. Well, I was going to talk about... Go ahead. We are moving it. Well, let us not do that. I will stick to the sermon I was going to do, but one of the future sermons is routine and consistency. That is actually a very important topic in the practice.

Because in order to become a profound state of mind—powerful, loving, energetically awakened in all the various ways—you have to live in a momentum. You have to curate the momentum of your life.

Get yourself moving to the point where, for example, I meditate an hour every day. It is easy, because I do it. It is not a hard thing, right? Or I read every day for 20 minutes. It is easy; it is not a hard thing.

And usually we have to build those things up, and you have to want to do it. Sometimes it is not the right time. Maybe you are doing something else that is important.

Alright, doom. So today, we are talking about the astral body. I cannot see you.

Colleen: I was just going to say, I have been reading every day.

Adam Wes: Oh, wonderful!

Colleen: But not your kind of books, different books.

Adam Wes: Well, the whole point of reading is to read Scripture.

Colleen: Okay, well, I am not doing that, sorry.

Adam Wes: Focusing on enlightenment. It is satsanga through reading.

Colleen: Okay.

Adam Wes: But reading is good, I am glad you are reading. That is just regular reading.

Colleen: That is another topic. Okay.

Adam Wes: That is wonderful, that is wonderful. But the reading I am talking about is satsanga reading. So, today we will be discussing the astral body. So the astral body...

is very important in this practice, and in a way, this is really the heart of the practice. Harrison, you are going to love this. All of you are going to love it. But I think, Harrison, you are going to especially love this, because…

Energetic Anatomy and the Astral Body

Adam Wes: Because what are we doing in meditation? Essentially, we are generating energy and shifting the energetic formations of our body and our being. The body is not just a physical entity; it is also an astral entity, an energetic mechanism.

Our faculties—David, I must say—are both physical and astral, as well as causal. There are different layers of self. In this practice, it is absolutely essential to clear, purify, empower, and maintain activation in the astral body in a particular way.

Most people are not aware of the astral body at all. Western society, and global society more broadly, are not very aware of it. In fact, I think some people would call it myth or magic, but it is very much a part of our biological system.

For the Sangha, and for each of you as individual practitioners, it is important to become aware of the astral body, both exoterically and esoterically. Exoterically means you should know where the spots are, and then you should also begin to feel the spots. Cultivate them, work with them, and this—Harrison, this could be—this is very much a lifelong practice.

Once you awaken this, it is like learning to walk. You do not stop walking. You learn to talk, and you do not stop talking. It is actually quite significant, because you are taking on a new consideration that much of the world will not understand. People may ask, "Why did you just do that?" They will not understand.

I will do certain things, and people do not even know why I am doing them. They cannot imagine, because if they are not feeling and in touch with their astral body, it simply does not compute. It does not make sense in the experiential paradigm in which they are living.

So I think some of you have experienced the astral body so far—perhaps all of us. But we will go into it in a little more detail.

Part of mindfulness, Andrea, is maintaining activation in the chakras. So, when I do something, I am not simply doing it carefully with mindfulness, giving my full attention to something mundane. I am also considering, "Is my heart open? Am I keeping my heart open? Is it constantly expanding, purifying, and maintaining the right energetic flow?" That is a part of mindfulness.

We have to bring a great deal of attention to these things until they become more habitual. Then you have to protect them, maintain them, and even increase them.

So, the astral body is comprised of chakras. There is a lot here. This is really great. We have seven chakras.

The root chakra—let me tell you where they are. The root chakra is right underneath your pelvis, between your parts, at the perineum. You can look up that word, and you will probably find a diagram on the internet. It is just right underneath your sit bones.

Then your second chakra is right where the genitals are. The third, the navel center, is one inch below the belly button. It is called Manipuri.

The heart center is right in the center of the chest, Anahata. The throat center is at the base of the neck, in the groove right there. Sometimes I feel like it is a little bit underneath the Adam's apple, but that is it. I think both of those are spots, but let us just say it is the base of the neck.

Then there is the third eye. And then there is the crown chakra, right on top of the head. So those are the seven chakras.

These are bioelectromagnetic vortices. They are aspects of our biological faculty. They do something. They are organs—bioelectromagnetic organs, essentially.

And they have meaning, but not just in a superstitious sense. They have actual functional meaning, just as your kidneys do something, or your liver does something. Your navel center generates willpower.

If you find yourself in a moment of decision and you push into something new, when you overcome an obstacle, you may feel your navel center. You can feel that something happens, and it activates.

So I will go through all of them in detail, what they are. There are other centers as well. They are called Granthi.

Granthi means "knot" in Sanskrit, as in tying a knot. There is a Granthi behind the back of your head called the Shiva Granthi. There is one behind the heart called the Vishnu Granthi, which connects right behind the heart chakra.

The Granthi at the back of the head is at the base of the skull, kind of in the center back. Then there is one in that tender spot in the lower back, where you might sometimes get back pain. It is a tender spot because there is a nerve center there, called the Brahma Granthi.

These three parts are of a different energetic order. They are a little more physical. Think of them more as nerve centers with associated electricity and magnetism, whereas the chakras are much more etheric.

Then we have the Shashumina, which is like the spine of the chakras. It is an astral tube or channel that moves through all of the chakras, and that needs to be cleared as well. You have to actually meditate on the whole channel.

We also have some secondary spots that are very important. The solar plexus is sometimes considered the third chakra in diagrams, but it is not really, because this is not the willpower center. This is a vortex of cleansing, and you can actually move energy out of it.

There is a spot right at the bottom of the ribs, where they start. And there are a lot of spots, by the way. These are the major ones, but if you have ever had acupuncture, you will know that anywhere you can put a needle is a little bit of a chakra.

There is another spot about three inches below that, which is another stomach spot. That is very important too.

There is also the center of the brain. One of my teachers always calls it a brain crystal, because apparently there is an actual crystal in the brain. In fact, two of my teachers refer to it this way. Right in the center of the head, you can feel it. There is a little shock, a very significant chakra right there that has to do with the frequency of your body.

So the crystals have frequency, like a quartz watch. That keeps the frequency of your body.

There is also one not where the crown is, but a little bit back, where a baby has a soft part of the skull. That is a chakra too. All of these chakras are important.

Also, the tailbone chakra, at the very base of the spine. Sometimes people say that is the root chakra, but I feel it is actually the perineum area.

There are other important chakras, such as those in the palms of the hands—right in the center—and in each of the fingertips.

Kira: This spot right here.

Adam Wes: Between the thumb and the pointer finger, there is that tender spot. That acts like a release valve.

Kira: For energy?

Adam Wes: Exactly, Kira.

Let us see, what else do we have? I think another important one is on the inside of the ankle, right here. It is on that soft spot underneath the ankle. That is an important chakra type. In Chinese medicine, they call it the kidney point, but it is also very significant.

I would mention that one because, if you meditate on it, you get this nice channel all the way down your leg.

Alright, you also have the spine itself. It passes through the Granthi in the back. So, it is not the Sushumna, but it goes down the back. All of these are different aspects of our astral body.

Kira, the talk today is about the sermons on the astral body.

So, we also have different qualities of energy. We have kundalini. Kundalini is a very etheric substance. Like blood or any of the fluids in the body, it is an energetic analog of those, and it runs throughout the body. It moves through tubes called Nadi.

The Sushumna is like the main Nadi, the largest one. But the Sushumna also has two Nadis that spiral around it and come out the nostrils, called the Ida and Pingala. There are also smaller Nadis everywhere, just like in your body you have veins everywhere, as well as large arteries and small veins.

Kundalini flows throughout the body in a very etheric way.

Then we have a substance that feels very different. It is called Amriti. Amriti means nectar, and you can especially feel it in the spine. It feels very thick, with a viscous energy. When you move it, it moves slowly. The kundalini can move very quickly, but the amriti moves very slowly.

Beyond that, we have the aura, and the aura has nodes within it. So, for example—see what I just did with my finger here? There is a spot here.

Think of it, mathematically speaking, as a field with vortices or nodes—significant points where energy gathers. You can focus on these and bring your attention to them.

The aura itself expands very widely, and it has this toroidal structure. We should probably talk about that. If you enter a deep meditative state, you can actually see people's toroids. I know it sounds unusual, but seeing auras is very much a part of this practice.

I would hope that all of us begin to see auras in some way, because when you are seeing an aura, what is really happening is that you are attuned to the subtle energy currents that are present. When two auras overlap, they influence each other, just as two electric or magnetic fields influence each other. That influence can be registered as the perception of an aura.

So, when somebody walks by me while I am meditating, I can feel, see, and hear their aura. It sounds a bit like a lightsaber. It moves through your awareness, and when it does, you can see it. But you do not see it with your eyes, even though it is a visual phenomenon.

If you go into Light, you open your field, and you can see everyone walking around with what looks like a cone on top of their heads. It is a white cone, and really, the cone is somewhat unusual. It is as if everyone is wearing a hat, but the cone is shaped differently—not like a regular hat. So, everyone is wearing a hat, and it is the top part of the donut.

The donut goes like this—a toroid is a donut, by the way, for those who are not familiar with the mathematical term. Toroid, or toroidal, is what you see in mathematical diagrams; it looks like a donut shape, a circle going in a circle. It is quite easy for me, at least, to see the top part of it. I do not see the bottom as much, for some reason.

It reaches out quite far. If you see someone's aura, it is almost like a 12-foot field. It extends out the top of the head and very far. All of that is the energy body. Now, each of these things—you can feel them, but really, you…

Andrea P: Sorry, I have a question.

Adam Wes: Sure.

Andrea P: But… how are they different? When you see them, do people have bigger auras, or different colors, or what do you see?

Adam Wes: You know, I think some people notice differences in auras. Generally, they look the same to me. That might simply be the degree to which I have attuned myself to that aspect of the astral.

I think you probably can see more. For example, my teacher says that when he looks at someone, he sees their chakras activating in different degrees and different ways. I do not particularly look at someone and think, "Oh yes, your heart"—I can see and perhaps feel it and intuit it. So, there are different degrees of development.

It would be enjoyable to be able to see all of that, and I think it would be a sign of heightened sensitivity. At the same time, it might not be necessary. What I concern myself with personally is keeping the energy active, flowing, and clear, because it feels good. It feels right. If my energy is clear… but that is a good question, I appreciate it. Perhaps I will be able to teach more about that at some point, but yes, to me, they are all quite similar. I am not sure exactly how other people see it.

Andrea P: Sorry. I ask because… I am guessing if someone is working, meditating, and working with their energy, it must change.

Adam Wes: Yes, people's auras do change. What changes is, when someone's heart is really open, you can feel that. Human beings are so intuitive—we all feel everything, I believe.

It seems that everyone is aware of everything. The difference is, many people cannot pick it out of the noise. Their minds are too noisy, so they cannot tell, and many people doubt themselves. We are taught to doubt ourselves, because everyone is, in a sense, wearing a bit of a mask.

When you confront someone directly about what is clearly going on, it is considered a social faux pas. You are not supposed to do that. David is laughing. You are not supposed to do that.

Now, in Sangha—in spiritual circles where people love each other and love themselves—you should confront people. Say, "Oh, I see what is happening," and you should speak it into existence. You say, "I see what is happening," because there is this tendency for people to wear a shirt that says a word—metaphorically—and then everyone is not allowed to say anything about it.

This is very much how people operate, and if you confront many individuals about it, they will deny it. They will say, "No, that is not what I think," or they might even be denying it to themselves. One of the key points is that we feel everything that is happening.

It is good to be beautiful and completely transparent. And if you are not so beautiful yet, be transparent and love yourself in the process of becoming more beautiful. We are all becoming more beautiful, right? Well…

If you are on the path. So, become more honorable, become more honest, become more loving, become more…

Integral. All of these qualities. In the meantime, know that people sense what you are, who you are.

Before I record my reels and begin speaking, I try to get into a state and become beautiful inside. Then I speak from that place, because I cannot simply speak from pretense or pretending. Everyone will know.

Even if it is not overt, we all understand how people are. We can feel the aura; we can perhaps see the aura. There are all kinds of astral phenomena you can perceive.

I mean, I could tell you about these things… I am not particularly focused on that, but there is a whole occult practice of magic, where you can see beings, creatures, beams of light—all different aspects. There are many forms of magic one can explore.

I tend to stay… and it can be useful, on the path. But today, I find it interesting to make a distinction here.

What I am specifically talking about is how to purify and clear your aura so you can make progress along the path to enlightenment. That includes experiencing peace, love, intelligence—all the beautiful faculties of a futuristic human being. Right?

They come from energy work. They do not come from… I do not know. I do not know how people think that they change. They read a book and learn something. But what actually causes people to change? We change because our routines change. We change because our energetic flows change.

Routine leads to different energy flows. Harrison meditates every day now. If he meditates on his energy, he will become a different flowing energy. This is a very futuristic consideration.

I imagine a futuristic society where people are truly concerned, saying, "Oh, sheshumana, you need to go and spend some time on your Shashumina." Right? They do not say that in middle school. It is not, "Oh, your son is not doing so well; his Shashumina is a little blocked up." Would that not be something, right, Kira?

You know, they just say, "Just pass the test." Most of society is not aware of these subtleties. These are subtle, but they are also foundational.

So, how do you become smarter? Well, activate your third eye. Slow down, stop, put the distractions aside, put the test aside, and work on your third eye for a little while. Because when your third eye is very active, your energy flow is such that you can think and see more deeply.

I think some people wonder, "How did that person do that? How did Einstein do what he did? How did Tesla do what he did?" They had energy flows that were really beautifully refined.

And this whole practice centers on that. Routine fixes your energy flow. Mindfulness maintains and cultivates energy flow. Good karma determines your energy flow.

If you are going to yell at someone in a selfish way, your heart chakra shifts. It is…

Your energetic structure shifts slightly, and you have to go and meditate that off. You start to become aware of all the different karmic repercussions of your actions, and then you have to do the energetic work to remedy anything you did that was not beneficial. And when I say "wrong," I mean anything that interfered with the energy flow that is beneficial, pleasurable, enjoyable, productive, and effective.

So…

The root chakra, right underneath the perineum—and it is also underneath the body. By the way, there are chakras… oh, I should mention this. There is a…

Giant tube that goes right up into the sky and right down to the center of the Earth. That is also part of our astral body. Why are you laughing, Andrea?

Andrea P: You look funny doing this.

Oh, I look like I am, like, a cheerleader or something.

Adam Wes: YMCA… okay. So, you have a whole set of chakras higher up above your head. I would usually call them nodes. And then underneath your body, you have a tube that goes to the center of the Earth, and you can reach down and reach up, and all these currents will move back and forth. A bi-directional current will flow through your being. It will run through you like a river running over…

Little pebbles of your astral vortices.

So…

The root chakra—let us talk about that for a moment. I am going to tell you a little bit about each of these, because you can meditate on them. That is what I am suggesting. I am suggesting, Praveen, that you are late for work because you were meditating on your chakras, and you say, "It was just so good, I lost track of time." Oh no, I am losing track of time.

So I will hurry up and do this so we can get started. The root chakra is pure power, and actually, beginners are not really supposed to meditate on it.

Because it can open up unpleasant… It is like rocket fuel. Beginners do not play with rocket fuel. Rocket engineers play with rocket fuel.

It needs to be channeled correctly, so a good way to access your pure power is through your navel center. It brings up the power naturally and channels it through the nozzle of the rocket, so to speak.

There is the second chakra, which is right on the genitals. There is something to do with pleasure there, but it is also about creativity, and family, and safety, I think—even? Definitely, creativity is a significant aspect of that area.

You also do not necessarily need to meditate on that one. For the lower two chakras, it is generally recommended that you do not meditate on them much, and if you do, just do a little bit.

The navel center, however, is very important. That is your willpower.

The heart center is the seat of compassion, intuition, and knowledge. It is the knowledge you gain by becoming the other. I know you because I am you. I am you because my heart has expanded to encompass both of us. That is the faculty of energetic knowledge.

The throat chakra is your voice. It is also said to be connected to beauty. I am not sure I fully see that myself, but it is supposed to have something to do with beauty.

Your voice—when you hear someone whose voice does not project, they could probably benefit from meditating on their throat chakra. There is something important there about speaking.

Kira says beauty because it is associated with the thyroid gland, but what I am referring to, Kira, is my own direct experience. That is just another naming definition—what is a thyroid gland, what does it do, and why is it connected to beauty?

And thank you for sharing, but what matters most—and Kira knows this, but I want to say it now because she reminded me—is that we have our own direct encounter with these centers, so they become a self-evident truth, just as in mathematics. We want to know them for ourselves. That is why I sometimes hesitate to say something, because—

I focus primarily on the heart, the navel, the third eye, and the crown. Those are the ones I focus on most, personally. However, one of my teachers is very focused on the throat and the second chakra—those are her favorites. We are quite different in that way.

Then there is the third eye, which is mindfulness, stillness, understanding, and perception. Notice I said understanding, not knowledge, which to me is more a faculty of the heart.

And then there is the crown, which is self-transcendence. When you meditate on the crown, you feel oneness. It is the divine—rising above yourself.

The spot on the back of the head, the Shiva Granthi, is related to both the third eye and the crown.

The spot in the back of the heart is a wonderful place. If you are having a bad day and someone who loves you gives you a back rub there, that is a very special spot to meditate on for your heart. If you ever feel anxiety or anything similar, meditate on the heart—on the anahata and on the Vishnu Granthi behind it.

The navel, the lower back, the Brahma Granthi, is also a very good area to meditate on, as it relates to the three lower chakras and is associated with power.

So this is—and then you can meditate on your Sushumna, moving the energy up and down. There is something called the microcosmic orbit, which moves through the Sushumna, connects to the spine, and then circles through the head. It actually forms a little circle.

These are all things you can do when you meditate.

Try to bring in the light. Use the light to soften and fluidify the density in the astral body, in the auric field. Use the light—it is challenging—and use your will. Use your navel to will it. Use the light to heat it up. You do not just take iron and shape it; you heat iron up, and then you hammer it. The light is the heat.

If you can get into the light, bring the light, fill your whole body with light, and then move your energy, clear your heart, and make these considerations of your life.

I just did Tai Chi for 50 minutes right before I arrived. What was I doing? I was moving all my chakras. Right before that, I did a 3-mile walk. What was I doing? I was moving my chakras. It is also moving my cardiovascular system.

When I do math, it is beneficial for me to pay attention to my chakras. I meditated for an hour this morning. I am just sharing this so you can see something to aspire to. I also did an hour of meditation this morning. What did I do? I meditated on my chakras. I even did that a bit while I was sleeping.

So, chakras, chakras, chakras—because a powerful astral body, a powerful energetic body, makes us happy. It makes our lives feel beautiful, subjectively. This is the center of the practice.

Questions on Meditation Experience and Sensing Energy

Harrison: Ugh. I have one…

Adam Wes: A question, I suppose.

Harrison: I have many questions I could ask, but I suppose… I have been finding—

I am interested in trying to think more about those different spots and focus on them, but I have found that the most consistent meditation experience I have is calming down and focusing on a spot in front of me. In my art practice, I have been exploring a torus, or the donut shape, and I feel as though I am literally looking at a point of origin.

Everything seems to be expanding out of that point of origin, like sands of time almost, just dropping through that hole. Then it moves in one direction, and then it drops again. I am not thinking about anything in particular, but I feel as if I am on… for the donut, it was like infinity, just rolling in on itself. I am not thinking about my body—I am just in this infinite spiral of nothing.

Adam Wes: Well, that is another aspect of meditation.

Harrison: In fact, it seems like you are looking into astral—

Adam Wes: Worlds. Astral.

One way to try to feel your qi, your kundalini, is to put your hands together like this and try to get the charge going. In fact, let us get started. Feel the charge.

This charge in your hands can be present in any of those spots. You can see how Kara is going very wide—you can feel it.

When you do this, it is concentration. You can actually feel it—it is like moving a balloon, compressing a balloon. The air wants to compress. The energy wants to compress when we do this.

When you move out, there is a sort of suction. It pulls the energy in a different way. This is a good way to feel—

I think it is one of the easiest ways to sense the qi. I recommend you go to your friends and say, "Can you feel this?" I remember my first year—and not that all of us are in our first year—but in my first year, perhaps even my first five years, I would ask everyone, "Can you feel that?" Because it feels magical, right? So, feel the qi.

Now, if you put your hands down, you can still sense the qi in your hands, in your fingertips. Now, activate your hands with your will. Do you notice the difference?

My hands are on my lap here, and I can move the energy there, activate it, and feel the charge. So, feel your hands and generate that charge.

It is a muscle.

It is a muscle of your will, of your energy.

Let the energy build. Allow yourself to become aware of the energetic side.

Okay. Now you can use your hands to activate your chakras. Here, I am pulling on my own heartstrings. Usually, I use my middle finger to hook.

Sometimes people in public see me do this. You might wonder what I am doing, but I am pulling on my own heartstrings. What this does is it pulls out the—

And you can feel it in your chest. If you like, you can scratch, tap, or simply place your finger on your chest.

All of this work is enhanced by the light. Opening the chakras opens the doors to the divine. They are doorways. Paradoxically, they help us enter the light.

Once you have activated with your hand, you can pause, feel the spot, and use your internal will.

Let us meditate on the heart center for a bit.

We are exploring the dimensions of your own energetic heart. You are learning to work with it, to awaken, to feel it.

Let us move to the navel center. Find a way to sense the spot energetically. You can channel energy through the various nadis that lead there, moving the energy down to the area around the belly button. Or you can move it forward from the back, or feel the node in front of it.

Once you feel this spot, work with it. When you truly connect with these chakras, you will notice a shift in your state of mind.

And as you feel the navel center, you begin to sense discipline.

Already listened to that one. You know, like a magical… Elven… Bing. Like in this music. Here, I get your elf going.

The navel center gives us command of the entire energetic structure. It is important to activate.

Okay, let us do the root chakra. We rarely do this.

Let us do it just a little bit.

So, if you are sitting on the ground, right underneath you is a center—you can feel this one. There is a pelvic floor; you can flex it. That is the spot where it is flexed. You can feel the qi there. It is the very base—pure power.

It is good not to neglect any of these centers. We just want to make sure we can feel them all.

Let us do the third eye. Oh, no, let us do the throat chakra. Right about here. I like it. I do not usually focus on this one very much.

Sometimes with the chakra, you are starting from the inside of the body and pushing forward. Sometimes we move up and down. You are pinpointing that energetic vortex.

Learn to use your intuitive understanding—what these chakras mean. Become your own authority on the qualities that relate to them. Develop a subjective description.

Alright, let us do the third eye. What a nice collection of experiences here today. And use the light. You feel you have access to it.

Let us meditate on the brain crystal in the center of the brain. You can feel your qi right in the center there. Take a moment and pinpoint that location.

Notice the different quality when we shift our spatial focus to the proximity of a different center.

Okay, let us do the Shiva Granthi. Moving back further—we went from the third eye, to the brain crystal, to the Shiva Granthi. It is right underneath the divot at the back of the skull, the baby's soft spot. A little behind the crown. Let us try that one. This one has a pleasant feeling.

Let us move to the crown chakra, right on top of the head. Center of self-transcendence. Wonderful.

Let us do the Vishnu Granthi, behind the heart. This one is very comforting. It is a love tap from your own self.

I am going to try something a little fun with you. Play with the Amrit. Start at the Vishnu Granthi and push the nectar energy down to the Brahma Granthi in the lower back. Just try it. Feel the whole connection between the two, slowly moving the nectar down until you arrive at a sensitive spot in the lower back.

Let us meditate there for a minute. You will feel the power in this one from a different perspective.

This will be our final song, so enjoy. To end the meditation with silence, focus on the center of the back—the Vishnu Granthi. Feel the love, comfort, safety, and warmth. Namaste.

It is a cosmic massage from God. It is the universe massaging us, renewing us. Meditation is not just sitting there. We are renewing our energy body until we become absorbed in our essence.

And when we work on this energy, it is very pleasurable. I think you can see how it is possible to sit for an hour or two doing this, and then walk away revived, powerful, clear, and gentle. People will notice. You will notice, most of all.

And a couple of minutes ago, I had to open my eyes and stop, because it just became quite intense.

Here, let me just... oh, Praveen, did you want to say something?

Praveen S: Adam, I just wanted to know if—quick question, can I ask, or we can...

Adam Wes: Sure, sure.

Praveen S: Okay. So, first of all, amazing sermon, Adam. Thank you. I just wanted to know—without getting into the context, I will go directly to the question. Is there a connection between pranayama and meditation? In India, people do a lot of pranayama, so I wanted to understand what the connection is. And the second question is, from where does consciousness come into being? You had just explained the system. I was wondering, how does consciousness manifest? From where does it manifest?

Adam Wes: Oh, these are very advanced, good questions. So, pranayama is a breathing technique, just so everyone knows. It generates a charge. There is prana in the environment—it is an ambient environmental energy. And when you breathe in different ways, with different nostrils, you generate a charge, and that charge—

I think it is similar to what my mom experienced. She generated a charge, and then all of a sudden, she was able to work with it. So sometimes, to get your charge up so you can do a good chakra meditation, you can do pranayama.

I actually did not mention that, because I was not taught that way, and I never practiced it. Sometimes you can just focus into the light—that is actually quite an advanced access point. If you cannot capture it, cannot get the light, you can always just do the breathing, the pranayama.

Consciousness. Okay. I will do my best to answer this one. Shum. Well, I can give you my initial exoteric answer, which is the kind you can read in a book, which is that consciousness descends down into the chakra. Shushumna goes into the base of the spine and gets coiled tightly in the root. Most people's roots are so tightly coiled, they never have the kundalini rise—that is the term. Once we get our kundalini rising, then we have kind of reached back up.

So, this is how it apparently happens. You can read about that by Yogananda—he talks about that a bit, Paramahansa Yogananda. But let me speak from my own, more direct experience.

So there is the soul and the spirit. Depending on which word you want to use for which aspect, think of the spirit—I like to think of the spirit as the astral body, the thing that goes into the physical body and animates it. So we animate the physical body with life, with the spirit.

There is a mechanism there, and I do not know if I feel too comfortable speaking on it, because I am not— I do not like to talk unless I feel I have direct experience of it. It is interesting. I do not know that much about that.

I know a little bit more about the soul, though. The soul is like the watcher. It is the—to whom is this occurring? The Atman.

And the Atman—when we become absorbed, we become absorbed in the unknown, we become absorbed in the substance of what we are. And so, that can observe the whole dynamics of energy and matter, of spirit and matter.

Which is happening—it is a physical thing. So, for example, when does a fetus gain the spirit? How does that all happen? The soul can observe, and I feel that I have more experience with that.

I am not even sure how people have experience with the process of incarnating, because they are not doing it during this lifetime—they are doing it between lifetimes. So, what is actually happening there?

They might know simply because they are so aware of the structure and how the soul has bound itself to the body. Another point is that the heart is the center, so while the energy recoils into the root, there is a sense that the heart is more where the soul connects.

That is the center of your being. So, that is a little less about the spirit and the body. But I hesitate to speak about this, because I do not feel I am speaking from direct experience. Although, right now, as I focus on it, I can feel it very strongly in my root, which is actually quite lovely. So perhaps I am, but I just do not observe it that often.

You can feel that there is a recoil—something that happens in the root that binds us. I hope that answers your question.

Praveen S: You know, when you are…

Adam Wes: Namaste, you are welcome. When someone is fully enlightened—when they experience moksha—they tend to become aware of exactly how all of this works. I am not fully enlightened yet. I would like to be. I am working towards it, but apparently there are about ten or so people in the whole world who are in the moksha state, so there are very few.

A couple of well-known ones—Sadhguru is supposed to be, Eckhart Tolle is supposed to be. There are a few people who are. Osho, Krishnamurti—they were, but there are very few, and usually they are very bright. The world comes to know them, and some people are more obscure.

Does that answer your question, Raveen?

Namaste, everyone. Welcome. As we gather, I reflect on the ways we each approach our study and practice. Some of us struggle to maintain consistency, relying on the support of the community and revisiting past teachings. Others find mindfulness in daily activities, like running or training for a mountain climb, integrating awareness into movement. Some of us have made meditation a non-negotiable part of life, as essential as eating—an anchor that transforms and rejuvenates, providing a silent reservoir from which creativity and artistry flow. Even when we fall short of our reading goals or homework, the intention to contemplate and build our lives in this direction remains. When we are ready, we can begin anew, even if it is just fifteen minutes a day, and gradually, these practices become as natural as breathing.

The goal is to integrate these disciplines—healthy eating, exercise, meditation, mathematics, reading, journaling—so they become effortless, woven into the fabric of daily life. When we build momentum, these habits sustain themselves, and we find it hard to stop. Routine and consistency are vital; to reach a profound state of mind—powerful, loving, energetically awakened—we must curate the momentum of our lives. When these practices become easy, it is because we have made them a part of who we are. Sometimes, it is not the right time, and that is alright. We each move at our own pace.

Today, I want to speak about the astral body, which is truly the heart of this practice. In meditation, we generate energy and shift the energetic formations of our being. The body is not merely physical; it is also an astral entity, an energetic mechanism. Our faculties are both physical and astral, as well as causal—different layers of self. In this practice, it is essential to clear, purify, empower, and maintain activation in the astral body.

Most people are unaware of the astral body. In Western society, and globally, it is often dismissed as myth or magic, but it is a real part of our biological system. For the Sangha, and for each practitioner, it is important to become aware of the astral body, both exoterically (knowing where the spots are) and esoterically (feeling and cultivating them). Once awakened, this awareness is like learning to walk or talk—you do not stop. You take on a new consideration that much of the world will not understand. People may not comprehend why you do certain things, because if they are not in touch with their astral body, it does not compute in their experiential paradigm.

Part of mindfulness is maintaining activation in the chakras. When I do something, I am not just doing it carefully or mindfully; I am also considering whether my heart is open, expanding, purifying, and maintaining the right energetic flow. This is a part of mindfulness. We must bring attention to these things until they become habitual, and then protect, maintain, and increase them.

The astral body is comprised of chakras—seven main ones. The root chakra is right underneath the pelvis, at the perineum. The second chakra is at the genitals. The third, the navel center, is one inch below the belly button, called Manipuri. The heart center is in the center of the chest, Anahata. The throat center is at the base of the neck. The third eye is between the eyebrows, and the crown chakra is on top of the head. These are bioelectromagnetic vortices, organs with actual functional meaning, just as your kidneys or liver do something. For example, the navel center generates willpower; when you overcome an obstacle, you may feel it activate.

There are other centers called Granthi, meaning "knot" in Sanskrit. There is a Granthi behind the back of the head (Shiva Granthi), one behind the heart (Vishnu Granthi), and one in the lower back (Brahma Granthi). These are more physical, like nerve centers, while the chakras are more etheric. The Shashumina is like the spine of the chakras, an astral tube or channel that moves through all the chakras and needs to be cleared through meditation.

There are secondary spots, like the solar plexus, which is a vortex of cleansing, and a spot three inches below that, another important stomach spot. The center of the brain, sometimes called the brain crystal, is significant for the frequency of your body. There is also a chakra where a baby has a soft spot on the skull, and one at the tailbone. The palms and fingertips each have chakras, as do the inside of the ankles. The spine itself, passing through the Granthi, is another aspect of the astral body.

We also have different qualities of energy. Kundalini is a very etheric substance, an energetic analog of bodily fluids, running throughout the body in tubes called Nadi. The Sushumna is the main Nadi, with two that spiral around it and come out the nostrils—Ida and Pingala. There are smaller Nadis everywhere, like veins and arteries. Kundalini flows throughout the body, and there is also Amriti, or nectar, which is especially felt in the spine. It is thick and viscous, moving slowly, unlike the quick-moving kundalini.

Beyond that, we have the aura, which expands widely and has a toroidal structure—a donut shape. In deep meditation, you can see people’s toroids, and seeing auras is part of this practice. When you see an aura, you are attuned to the subtle energy currents present. When two auras overlap, they influence each other, just as electric or magnetic fields do. That influence can be registered as the perception of an aura. When someone walks by while I am meditating, I can feel, see, and hear their aura. It is not seen with the eyes, but it is a visual phenomenon. In the light, you can see everyone with a cone on top of their heads—the top part of the donut. The aura extends far, perhaps twelve feet, out the top of the head. All of this is the energy body.

People’s auras do change. When someone’s heart is really open, you can feel it. Humans are intuitive; we feel everything, but many cannot pick it out of the noise or doubt themselves. Socially, we are taught not to confront what is obvious energetically. In spiritual circles, we should speak openly, acknowledging what we sense. Even if we are not yet beautiful, we should be transparent and love ourselves in the process of becoming more beautiful, more honorable, honest, loving, and integral. People sense who you are, and before I speak or record, I try to become beautiful inside, because pretense is obvious. We all understand how people are; we can feel and perhaps see the aura, and there are many astral phenomena one can perceive.

There is a whole occult practice of magic, seeing beings, creatures, beams of light, and more. But my focus is on how to purify and clear the aura to make progress toward enlightenment—experiencing peace, love, intelligence, and all the beautiful faculties of a futuristic human being. These come from energy work, not merely reading or learning. We change because our routines and energetic flows change. Routine fixes your energy flow; mindfulness maintains and cultivates it; good karma determines it. If you act selfishly, your heart chakra shifts, and you must meditate to remedy it. You become aware of the karmic repercussions of your actions and do the energetic work to restore beneficial flow.

The root chakra, underneath the perineum, is pure power. Beginners are not advised to meditate on it much, as it is like rocket fuel and must be channeled correctly—often accessed through the navel center. The second chakra, at the genitals, relates to pleasure, creativity, family, and safety, but it is also best approached with care. The navel center is very important for willpower. The heart center is the seat of compassion, intuition, and knowledge—the knowledge gained by becoming the other. The throat chakra is your voice, connected to beauty and expression. The third eye is mindfulness, stillness, understanding, and perception. The crown is self-transcendence and oneness.

The Granthi at the back of the head relates to the third eye and crown. The spot behind the heart is comforting, and if you feel anxiety, meditating on the heart and the Vishnu Granthi is helpful. The lower back, the Brahma Granthi, relates to power. You can meditate on the Sushumna, moving energy up and down, or practice the microcosmic orbit, which circles through the head and spine.

When meditating, bring in the light to soften and fluidify the density in the astral body and auric field. Use your will, your navel, to move the energy. The light is the heat that allows you to shape the energy, just as you heat iron before hammering it. Fill your body with light, move your energy, clear your heart, and consider your life.

Practices like Tai Chi, walking, mathematics, and meditation all move the chakras. A powerful astral body makes us happy and our lives beautiful. This is the center of the practice. I want to have many friends with beautifully activated chakras, sharing good energy wherever we go.

To feel your qi or kundalini, you can put your hands together and generate a charge. This charge can be present in any chakra. It is like compressing a balloon—the energy wants to compress. When you move your hands apart, there is a suction, pulling the energy differently. This is a good way to sense the qi, and you can share it with friends, asking if they can feel it. It feels magical. Once you feel it in your hands, you can activate your chakras with your will, even with your hands down. It is a muscle of your will and energy.

You can use your hands to activate your chakras, pulling on your own heartstrings, scratching, tapping, or placing your finger on your chest. All of this is enhanced by the light. Opening the chakras opens the doors to the divine. Once activated, you can pause, feel the spot, and use your internal will.

Meditate on the heart center, exploring the dimensions of your energetic heart, awakening and feeling it. Move to the navel center, sensing the spot energetically, channeling energy through the nadis, moving it down to the belly button or forward from the back. When you connect with these chakras, you notice a shift in your state of mind, and with the navel center, you sense discipline and command of your energetic structure.

I am not fully enlightened yet, but I am working towards it.
