Meditation Resolution and Outreach
Adam Wes Hi, everybody! Let's definitely drop in for a couple of minutes, maybe listen to some of the music and do our initial meditation.
Happy Wednesday, everybody. Welcome. Thank you for being here. It's a very quiet time for society, so it's a small group. But we're gearing up for a big spring back into the new year.
It's also Ramana Maharshi's birthday today. Vanamadi let me know about that.
For this meeting, I wanted to do some meditation and discuss the program. Here, we're leaders. We have enough affinity and predilection for spirituality to be here in this small group, and we're trying to create this meditation resolution.
I've worked extremely hard on it for the last, I don't know, 10 days or so, and I'd love to collaborate, get your opinions, and share the energy together so that we can perhaps tweak something or just feel into the universe that we're doing the right thing, that it's working.
A lot of people have signed up already, actually. Ten people have already committed, so that's very, very good. I'm very grateful for that. But the advertising has not had anybody commit yet, the actual money that I spent on advertising, so I need to figure out why that's the case.
To meditate every day for 15 minutes, I think I am a little bit naive at times when I think this applies to everybody in the whole world, right? Everybody in the whole world could be meditating for 15 minutes every day. Perhaps that's an objective truth, but not a reality inwardly for everybody.
I think everybody could benefit from that, and that it would make more happiness for each individual and for us collectively. It's very easy to do. It's not a difficult thing, right?
Perhaps some people already do that, and they wouldn't be interested in this program because they already have something very established. But I think for the majority of people, that's not the case. So this should be a very strong event and have a lot of gravity around it.
I think the advertising is actually working. I'm getting extremely good numbers. The ads are performing with top 10 percent metrics, so I'm very excited about it. It's working really well. However, it hasn't produced actual purchases, actual signups.
A lot of people are clicking through to the signup page, the signup popup. Over a thousand people have clicked the popup, "Join now," but not one of them from the ads has actually paid, which means they haven't committed.
One question is, I think this has a lot to do with the fact that it's December 30th. Most people sign up in the last 72 hours anyway. Also, I have to show up a few times in front of them to get them to remember, eventually read the website, consider it, and make this inner choice.
Things might be going perfectly, but I wanted to see if anybody had any feedback, ideas, or comments. Or maybe even just, "Wow, Adam, it looks great. It's good. It looks perfect. Just hang in there," because it's a little stressful for me.
If I had a whole bunch of money in the bank, it'd be fine, but I'm day by day overdrafting my bank account. I'm right on the edge. It's very stressful, so I'm trying to make it work. Well, it's not overdrafted now, but Facebook hits me with a $260 charge, and boom.
Just to tell you guys a little bit about how this works, it's really interesting. I know how to use Meta. Basically, the ads go to the entire Facebook network: Threads, Facebook, Meta, WhatsApp. It learns with computer programming. It actually uses AI to learn who to show it to.
It goes through a learning phase where it optimizes for very specific people. There are about 6,000 or 7,000 people who've engaged with my ad in the last five days, and it found those out of millions of people.
Then it measures their actions on my website. I've built my website in such a way that it actually sends information to Facebook about what they did. Then Facebook says, "Okay, you wanted them to do this, so we're optimizing the learning for that."
You can see exactly how much everything costs. How much does it cost for people in India, Mexico, Canada, or the US to click this ad? The whole thing is very interesting.
Andrea P Buenas noches.
Adam Wes I heard "buenas noches." Okay, so we've got representation here everywhere but Canada. Vanamadi, namaskaram. Nice to see you. Andrea, buenas noches! Ariella, what's up? She's in California, so we say, "What's up?" No, I'm just kidding. Californians.
All right. Let's talk. Let's go over this together. I also added a new video. Andrea, did you see my new video?
Andrea P I saw there was a video, but I have been very disconnected from social networks.
Adam Wes Exactly. Everybody's so busy.
Andrea P Yeah, because we're with family. I'm actually on the streets. I'm coming from somewhere. But I think that's also one of the things. People don't have enough time. I'm not on any social media. People are usually on their computers.
Adam Wes Right, you're saying you're not on your social media right now because you're with family?
Andrea P Yeah, and I think a lot of people are.
Adam Wes Yeah, that's what I think is happening.
Website Design and Program Positioning
Gosh, guys, have you seen this website? This is one of my best websites I've made.
Andrea P You're amazing.
Adam Wes Thank you. Look at this. Look how fun that is. Isn't that a nice little benefits exhibition?
It's got a whole sea of reasons why you would meditate. Of course, I have to say this: it's not really about those reasons. Those are just benefits. The real reason is God, love, freedom, enlightenment. That's the real reason.
Ariella, so you didn't see this yet?
Ariella Adam, is that the list that's moving all the time?
Adam Wes Yeah.
Ariella You may have it move more slowly. It's very hard to follow.
Adam Wes Well, if you watch this one, it's not supposed to be read. It's supposed to signal that there are so many reasons why you should meditate. Now move on, don't read it. That's actually part of the reason why I have it there. It's just to say, whoever you are, you could sit and read every one, but I think I've intentionally made it like this.
Also, I think you can follow them if you read one by one carefully.
Ariella Yeah, it was too difficult for me to follow.
Adam Wes I think it's also a little bit small for you, right? Did you get your magnifying glass out?
Ariella You need the magnifying glass for that one. I know where it is.
Adam Wes See, that's the problem. You have to keep that by your computer.
Have you seen this calendar here, Ariella?
Ariella Yes, that's also very small.
Adam Wes But if you click it.
Ariella Yes, if you click it, you can see it.
Adam Wes Yeah, that's why I have this little thing right here. Vanamadi, join in with us.
Vanamadi M Yes, Guruji.
Adam Wes What do you think?
Vanamadi, I've actually increased the price, by the way. I've made a special rate for India, and this is an extremely discounted rate. I decided I'm not going to put dollars next to it because that'll confuse people. It's just in rupees, so 3,500 rupees.
I think that should be good. That's supposed to be quite equivalent. It's not a very cheap program, but it's not expensive either. As far as my research said, that's about equivalent. I know it might be a little difficult for some students. It's the same in the US, though.
Vanamadi M Yes, Guruji. The page has an absolutely incredible design. It's very interactive, clear, and to the point. When it comes to the price, as you said, it is not that expensive or that cheap. It is a very moderate price.
Adam Wes Okay, wonderful. Thank you. Do you feel like people who land here would sign up? One of the things is, you guys know me. If you didn't know me at all, it might be difficult for you to sign up for this.
By the way, see these beautiful testimonials I've added here?
Ariella Nice.
Adam Wes There's you, Ariella. Did you see that?
Ariella Yes.
Adam Wes Kira's testimonial is really gorgeous. You guys should read this. It's a really beautiful one. Vanamadi, I feel like you'd really appreciate the mysticism in this testimonial. Have you read it?
Vanamadi M Yes, Guruji.
Adam Wes You read it? You like that?
Vanamadi M Yeah, I've gone through all the testimonials. I know a few people who joined with us in the Math group, so their contributions were also very good, actually.
Adam Wes Nice, yes.
Also, Kira's got a nice new last name, Srinivasan, which, obviously, for people like you and me, we know that's almost Srinivasa Ramanujan, which is nice.
There's a really great mathematician, by the way, Ariella, who has that. I think it's his first name, actually.
Vanamadi M It's his father's name, Guruji.
Adam Wes Oh, is it really?
Vanamadi M In Tamil Nadu, they keep their father's name as their surname. Srinivasa is Lord Vishnu, a form of Lord Vishnu.
Adam Wes So, Srinivasa Ramanujan, are those both his surnames?
Vanamadi M Ramanujan is his name, and Srinivasa is his father's name.
Adam Wes And what is Ramanujan?
Vanamadi M Ramanujan is his name, actually.
Adam Wes You cut out a little bit. Is it his surname, or is it his first name? That's what I'm trying to understand.
Vanamadi M It's his name, actually, Guruji. Ramanujan is his name. Srinivasa is his father's name.
Adam Wes Okay, and when you say his father's name, do you mean his father's first name or last name?
Andrea P His first name, no? In Arab countries, it happens the same. The name of the father becomes the surname, and the last name is the last name.
Adam Wes Okay.
For Andrea and Vanamadi, if you wanted to add a testimonial, maybe that would help. You guys haven't meditated with me as long as everybody else, but both of you have had, I think, deep experiences. Maybe that would be good. If you wanted to add one, send a photo. No pressure, though, if you don't feel ready.
Vanamadi M Sure, Guruji. I will definitely add my testimonial very soon.
Adam Wes Wonderful. I can put it down.
Vanamadi M I'm also sharing this page on my social media, especially WhatsApp and Instagram. I'm sharing it with my colleagues who are willing to join, who want to change their New Year's resolution, especially through meditation.
Adam Wes I love that! Guys, just think about how beautiful this will be. Imagine we have 20 or 30 people, people who want to meditate every day. That's a very powerful group. It's very sweet.
Andrea P Yeah.
Adam Wes Imagine all these people doing that. It's not just about one month. It might also be for the rest of their lives for some of them. Right? How special is that? I think it'll be really beautiful.
Andrea P Yeah, I will share it with my friends also, especially the video.
You said a couple of minutes ago that we know you, but for people who don't know you, it's harder to understand what you are offering. So I think the video is very important because the posters are pretty cool, but I don't think they reflect you.
Campaign Imagery and Technical Development
Adam Wes Right. Does everybody like the posters? Have you seen them?
Ariella I'm not sure that I've seen the posting.
Adam Wes Here, I'll show you.
Andrea P I had a question. You were saying that you know how many people click on the page. Is there a way that you could set up a live or a quick meditation showing how it's going to be? Not a test, but something so that the people who already clicked know what they will experience.
Adam Wes Can you say it again? I didn't follow.
By the way, Ariella, this is the image.
Ariella I can't see it. Where do I see that?
Adam Wes Can you see the screen?
Andrea P Yeah, I can see.
Ariella I can just see the faces of the people.
Adam Wes You don't see me sharing the screen? Okay.
You have to figure out how to use Zoom. I can't be your Zoom tutor. I don't want to do that. It's not what I do. You have to figure it out yourself.
Andrea P There are a bunch of images. There are different ones, right?
Adam Wes Yeah.
Ariella Okay, now I see it.
Adam Wes Nice. So there's that one.
Andrea P Excellent.
Adam Wes You like that one?
Andrea P Yeah, I think maybe it targets the audience. I haven't seen the other one. This is the one that has pepper for me.
Adam Wes This one, and then I have another one now. Let me show you one more because it's a little different. In fact, I should put it up there.
The other one I have, which I really like, is this one. Do you see this one?
Andrea P Yeah. They're pretty cool.
Adam Wes She's meditating on the dance floor at New Year's, which I think I've done before.
Andrea P Really?
Adam Wes Yeah. When I was first starting to meditate, I was still pretty young and partying. I felt within myself, "No, I just want to meditate right now." So I'd be there, everybody would be wild and stuff, and I'd just sit down and meditate on the dance floor. I think I've done that.
I try to recall some actual moments. I think I probably did do that a few times.
The message conveys a lot. It says, "In the noise of life, we can meditate." No matter who you are, you can still be this. You can turn inward and feel beautiful and free. You don't have to go to the Himalayas or into a cave, although that's very nice too. Maybe I should do more of those.
But I wanted to share that it's also kind of the dance floor of the New Year's Eve party.
Andrea P Yeah, yeah.
Adam Wes This is getting started, right? So those are the ones that I have.
Andrea, you think the video is very helpful? I think so too.
Andrea P Yeah, I think the video is quite helpful.
Adam Wes It went pretty well. I was able to make it look nice. It was a sunny day. It was perfect. The universe helped.
Vanamadi, what do you think?
Vanamadi M Excellent, Guruji. I can see the difference between the previous pages, which were more related to maths, and these. These are very clear and to the point from the meditation point of view.
It is absolutely incredible. I can see how much hard work you did to create all this. I can see it, Guruji.
Adam Wes Thank you. Did you say "absolutely incredible"?
Vanamadi M Yes, Guruji.
Adam Wes Thank you. I'm grateful for that.
Let me show you just how crazy this is. Take a look at the backend here. That one single page is made from over 4,000 lines of CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. Do you see the lines down here? It says 686? There are 4,500 lines, and it's all super custom.
Ariella, here's your testimonial right here. This is what makes Ariella's testimonial. Everything uses this information to style it.
Of course, I use ChatGPT to do this, but that makes me faster and better at getting this done. It would have been almost impossible without ChatGPT because I'm not very good at CSS, JavaScript, or HTML. I do Java programming, but I was able to make it look like that. The website's getting better.
Live Outreach and Audience Conversion
Andrea P I was just saying it would be great if you had, maybe tomorrow at the end of the year, a live session. Say that you're going to have a live session. Don't just have it, because then no one knows and no one connects. Have one of those clocks that runs backwards, like, "In 10 minutes."
Adam Wes Yeah, a countdown.
Andrea P A countdown, yeah.
Adam Wes That's a good idea. It's a great idea. Sorry, by the way. I was meaning to come back to what you were saying because I didn't totally get it, so thank you for bringing it up.
Andrea P I imagine that all the people who clicked on the link have interest. Maybe this live can help. They can know you and hear you. Maybe have a small ad that goes to them, with you saying, "We're having a live."
Adam Wes What would be inside the session? What would I say? How long would it be?
Andrea P Maybe the objective would be to explain everything I said here: what's the goal of the resolution, what will they see, your approach, what's Bhakti, and what will they experience during these 30 days?
I think the most important thing is for them to know you.
Adam Wes Thank you for that. This makes a lot of sense. So maybe even just a quick 30 minutes?
Andrea P Yeah, 30 minutes is perfect. But the point is that people connect and know that you're going to be live, so they can connect.
Adam Wes Yes, I love that. That way, they don't have to commit first. So this is different from the opening orientation, right?
Andrea P Yes. The idea here is, "I know you want to do this, but you need a little last push." Is that the last push, what will bring them over the edge to subscribe?
Adam Wes Yeah. I'll write that down.
Andrea P Maybe include a little bit of the first day's program that you already have prepared. Just say what this is about and why they should join.
Adam Wes Let me take some more notes here because this is very good, very helpful.
If either of you others wanted to make any suggestions here, this is the kind of thing that helps. Andrea helped me so much with the website. She went through it for an hour with me.
For example, she said, "Adam, you see these things here? It's not very obvious what time it is." Then I thought, "Okay, let's put this at the very top of the calendar," because the main thing about the calendar is just these four boxes. That shares essentially the whole calendar anyway.
Andrea, you said, "I know you want to do this, but this is the last push." We're thinking 30 minutes, maybe? The main thing is that they get to meet you and feel what it's like to sit with you.
Andrea P Yeah, and maybe answer some questions. What is their goal? Have they tried it before? Do they have any questions?
A lot of times, people have one question that you already answered on the website, but they didn't read it or something like that, and it helps.
Adam Wes Answer some questions. What are their goals? Perhaps they didn't get to read the question or get the answer on the website.
I'm dictating to my phone, by the way. That's why I'm repeating what you're saying here.
Perfect. I love that. It's really important that you promote it so people actually show up and know about it.
Andrea P Yes, the countdown really helps. You advertise it like, "Tomorrow we are having this," and then the countdown is really important.
I follow some people whose lives I like to see, but if they don't tell me what time it is, I forget. Life happens.
Adam Wes Right, so you're thinking a live on Instagram, not an actual Zoom session?
Andrea P Instagram.
Adam Wes Oh! Okay. What about a Zoom session, though? Is that too much?
Andrea P Yeah, I think it's easier for people who are not sure about it to just go live on Instagram. I think you can reach more people.
Adam Wes I like that. I might even be able to advertise that through remarketing.
It's fascinating. If somebody clicks or interacts with my page at all, I can share new ads specifically with them.
Andrea P Yeah, that's what I was thinking. That was the beginning of my idea, but I didn't say it right. Sorry.
Adam Wes What were you saying?
Andrea P That was the idea. The people who are already clicking, you already know them because you said that you had a thousand clicks. Those people would like to have that live session.
Adam Wes Six thousand.
Andrea P That's pretty amazing. I think those are the people who would like to have that live session.
Adam Wes Love it. Half of them are on Facebook, though.
Andrea P I think you can do it on Facebook and Instagram at the same time.
Adam Wes You're so smart, Andrea. She really thinks of good things.
Ariella I don't know all that stuff.
Vanamadi M Guruji, yesterday I went through your Facebook page. A few people from India were asking in Hindi, in a regional language, what the price is and some other stuff.
Is there any possibility that on our page, we can modify the language, like a built-in translation feature, to check it in at least the major languages? Is it possible, Guruji?
Adam Wes It's interesting that you said this because I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this. But now that you're saying it, do you want to hear something crazy?
"Hey, everybody. My name is Adam West. Thank you for your interest in the meditation."
Can you hear?
Ariella Yes.
Adam Wes Watch this.
Andrea P It changes languages?
Adam Wes What was that?
Andrea P It changes the language?
Adam Wes Yeah. It actually changes it, and it even changes my mouth. Watch this. You're going to love this, Andrea.
Andrea P Whoa!
Adam Wes Is that cool? It's freaky. It's a new feature on Instagram. I could put stuff out, and it'll literally change it. It only does four languages: Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, and English. But I didn't approve it. Okay, I'll approve these.
Andrea P Just make sure that people understand that the program is in English.
Adam Wes Yeah, that's the reason I didn't approve it.
Vanamadi, what do you think of that? That's why I was thinking that if they can't speak English, I'm not sure they want to sign up.
Vanamadi M It's not that, Guruji. It's about reaching the people. Most Indians are interested in listening in their own language, but when it comes to the program, if it is in English, they will be fine.
My point is to reach the people. At least they will understand what it is. Most people, when they scroll and see it in English, simply scroll up or scroll down. My intention is to reach them. At least they will listen for a while and understand what the page is all about.
If it is there in a regional language, at least they will listen until the end of the video and understand what it is exactly.
Adam Wes Yeah, and I think they'll also be like, "What? Who's this guy speaking Hindi?" They'll probably listen more to this white guy speaking really great Hindi.
I should probably learn these languages. That would be fun.
Andrea P Adam, I have to go, but my last comment would be, since there are only a few days to go, try to make it as specialized as you can. Try not to reach too many people, but go for the certain thing, if that's possible. Go for the people who already clicked on it and have the means to pay.
Adam Wes Just today, I turned down my cold marketing and turned up my remarketing.
Andrea P Great. I think that will be good.
Adam Wes I'm still doing the cold marketing, but I turned it down by $100 a day. It's one third.
Andrea P Yeah, and I will reshare your video.
Adam Wes Thank you for your support.
Ariella How do I share this? I wanted to send an email to some of my friends. How do I share it?
Adam Wes I'll send you a link that you can share. I think that's a good way to do it.
Scheduling and Program Preparation
Andrea, do you want to do a two or three minute meditation to close out, or do you want to go right now? It's up to you.
Andrea P I'll just go, and I will meditate later. But see you on Thursday!
Adam Wes Wait, Thursday? Oh my gosh! Sorry, guys. I actually changed the day.
Andrea P I saw that it was the 4th. You need to send the calendars so we can block it.
Adam Wes Well, I did send the calendar. Did you not get that yesterday?
Andrea P No.
Adam Wes I'll send it again.
Andrea P On my Google Calendar?
Adam Wes Right, the Google Calendar! Thank you. Okay, I'm going to do that. You come up with so many good things. Is there anything else I'm forgetting?
Andrea P I'm not sure, but I saw that you sent an email that said "calendar." I didn't know if it was for the people who were in the program or if it was publicity.
Adam Wes Okay, I'll make it super clear. Right, I haven't sent anything to people who've already signed up, so I need to do that as well.
Andrea P Yeah, because it's in less than 22 hours.
Adam Wes Yep, you're right. I'll do that now. Thank you for that.
Andrea P If I think of something, I will message you.
Adam Wes I'm going to send a preparation program for people who sign up. For the first three days, because we needed three more days to advertise, and also a lot of people are not available because they're still with family. Do you agree with that?
Andrea P So it will start on the 4th? No, on the 5th?
Adam Wes It starts on the 4th. Orientation is on the 4th, and then we'll also do meditation.
Andrea P Orientation on Sunday?
Adam Wes Yes.
Andrea P Okay.
Adam Wes You don't like that?
Andrea P No, it's fine. I will be on the highway, but it's fine.
Adam Wes No! It's at 5:30 p.m.
Andrea P For me, it's 8:30 p.m.
Adam Wes Why will you be on the highway?
Andrea P Because I'm going back home. I'm at my parents' home, and I'm going back to Mexico City.
Adam Wes Do you think most people will be on the highway?
Andrea P No, I don't think so. It's a very Mexican thing. But no, it's fine. Just add it to Google Calendar. For me, and I know for David and almost everyone, if it's not on your Google Calendar, it doesn't exist.
Adam Wes I love it. Okay, I'm going to do that. Beautiful. Thank you.
Andrea P All right, bye. I will see you then!
Adam Wes See you then. Thank you.
Andrea P Namaste!
Adam Wes Thank you.
Closing Meditation and New Year Wishes
All right, Vanamadi, Ariella, we should meditate for a few minutes.
Ariella Okay.
Vanamadi M Yes, Guruji.
Adam Wes My parents aren't here because they're in South Africa, and it's the middle of the night there. Otherwise, they usually come for the meditation.
Vanamadi, I'll look over Facebook. Also, if you want to help convey things to India and help out somehow, that would be wonderful. Whatever you think, you can do it.
Vanamadi M I'll be supportive in this, Guruji.
Adam Wes Thank you. I really appreciate your support. It's really beautiful.
All right, let's do a little meditation, just one song. I have to meditate. Let's clear the space. Just one song, five minutes or so.
Namaste, everybody. When you're ready, come out of the meditation.
Namaste. Happy New Year. Thank you for being here. Thank you for being supportive, for being a part of this, loving meditation and spirituality, and helping me spread that in the world, spreading it together. Thank you.
Vanamadi M Thank you, Guruji. I wish a Happy New Year to you and Ariella. Thank you so much.
Ariella Happy New Year to you too.
Adam Wes All right, guys. See you soon. Bye! Feel free to message me if you have any ideas.
